JOIN POTTERY PLACE PLUS FOR FIRST FRIDAY WITH OUR GUEST ARTIST SHERI MEDFORD
Sheri’s creative process shifts between Portrait and Figurative painting and designing "soft sculpture" animals. Primarily a mixed-media artist and figurative painter, she is fascinated by the human form and tries to capture moments in the lives of the people she paints. She paints large and often uses cold wax to seal the paintings. She then scans the paintings and mounts the mini prints on boards sealed with Encaustic Wax.
Join Pottery Place Plus in the Liberty Gallery this February to meet artist Kelsea Rothaus.
Kelsea’s latest body of work looks outward to the stars and universe while reflecting on what it means to be human. Using her own style of ink wash, she embraces a process that is fluid yet permanent. Each mark is final, and echoes the irreversible nature of lived experience. These dreamscapes are subtly embellished with detail, inviting you to slow down and look closer at the art or into yourself.

Accessories can pull an outfit together, dress up plain clothing, or help us express ourselves. Fiber jewelry is an extension of that. This special show features a little of both. Earrings, cuffs, bracelets, necklaces, collars, and scarves all made from small pieces of fine fabric. Many of them are made from upcycled materials as well.
The Slightly West Studio Tour is self-guided event where you can take your time and get to know the artists and creators. Just follow the map and enjoy your day. Unlike a craft or art show, the format allows each artist to answer questions and discuss their process.
