Linda Calahan

Color, color, color. That is Linda’s rule for painting since getting her first box of crayons in kindergarten. She brings intense, vibrant color to her artwork for all to enjoy. It has been the guiding light in her art since getting serious about painting in 1996. She started her career in watercolor, but has since expanded to oils, acrylics, pastels and pencil. She hopes to make your world a little brighter. Linda is an award winning artist, born in Sandpoint Idaho and raised in Spokane. She is a graduate of Central Valley High School and after living in Canada for 43 years is glad to be back in Spokane and showing her art in the Spokane area and beyond.

Katie Frey

My artistic passion is acrylic painting and mixed media. I focus on pushing the boundaries of color while creating expressive lines and rich texture. My art ranges from loose and spontaneous brush and palette knife work to deeply layered and highly textured mixed media pieces. I move between realistic and abstract sometimes working into collage and often including found objects and texture mediums to emphasize depth and create layers of interest. For me, inspiration and texture are synonymous. Inspiration might be on the veins of dry leaf, the layers of peeling graffiti beneath a bridge, or found in the erosion lines of a rock.
