As a Seattle youngster, I spent a lot of time alone outdoors watching and drawing birds from a private perch in our backyard ~ The Summer House ~ It wasn't just for summer. I played there all year round, and it wasn't really a house - except in my imagination. I felt surrounded by magic.
After decades of learning and practice, following and realizing my dream-goal of being a children's book illustrator, I still feel the magic. Sometimes romantic - often whimsical - definitely colorful - with every painting and every fabric gift and quilt I make, I hope you feel this magic translates and brings you delight.
Now I live in Spokane, Washington, in a small apartment reminiscent of The Summer House. Thanks so much for viewing my display at Pottery Place Plus.
