ARTIST’S STATEMENT:
Kay West has been around making art, playing with different art media, teaching various techniques, for a very long time. But she’s always finding new methods and new materials with which to play and create. This show brings together a number of different acrylic paintings, collage, baubles, fiber ... all involving or including BUTTONS. Some of the metal textured buttons are handmade by Kay. Other buttons included in the artwork are manufactured and repurposed. Kay is interested in sometimes common, ordinary objects and creating with them in uncommon, unexpected ways. Hope you’ll enjoy the April show and be inspired to think outside of the box.
