The Thanksgiving Address, also called "Greetings and Thanks to the Natural World" is an ancient indigenous statement of gratitude for the gifts of the natural world that sustain us all.  Although passed down for centuries by the people of the Haudenosaunee Confederation of northeast North America, Robin Wall Kimmerer has shared the Thanksgiving Address worldwide in her book “Braiding Sweetgrass”, published by Milkweed Editions.  The Liberty Gallery exhibit features art inspired by this statement of gratitude, created by nine local artists. Participating artists are Cherylee Duncan, Katie Frey, Sarah Goodwin, Debbie Hughbanks, Anette Lusher, Robbin Miller, Pierr Morgan, Denise Roberson, and Vicki West.
